In the latest Rating issued by Fitch's the Lloyds rating has been kept at A+ (STRONG) and Citynet are pleased to offer full access to the Lloyd's market and its products.

Strengthening our Motor Fleet Division

Our Motor Fleet Division has undergone some changes and we are delighted that Andy Walsh agreed to join Citynet in May 2011 to head up the Division and he will be supported by Simon Dunn who has accepted the role of Fleet Broker.

New Property/Liability Team

We are pleased to announce that our Property and Liability team has been strengthened by the appointment of two new Account Executives Colin Jackson and Colin Reid.

Colin Reid joined Citynet in April 2011 and brings over 25 years experience in the London Market.

Colin Jackson joins the team in July 2011 and is a former Director of a large London Broker and also brings over 25 years experience in the London Market. 

New Claims Team

We are pleased to announce that Richard Seeley joined Citynet in January 2011 bringing with him a wealth of experience gained on both the Broking and Underwriting side.

Richard has also recruited Martine Skoric who brings 10 years worth of experience in the London Claims Market.

We now feel that we have one of the best Claims Teams in the London Market.

Standard and Poor's rating of the Lloyd's Market

Standard and Poor's issued their 2009 Rating of Lloyd's and affirmed the A Insurer Financial Strength Rating (IFSR) with a stable outlook.

"Lloyd's competitive position is strong, supported by the positive attributes associated with its unique brand, attraction as the world's largest subscription market, London's continued position as a major International insurance and re-insurance market, and policyholder loyalty.

In our view, the impressive level of resilience that Lloyd's has demonstrated to the events of the past 12 months further reinforces its attractiveness as an operating platform"   S&P October 2009

 Optis

Citynet Insurance Brokers arranged a liability facility for Optis Insurance in the Republic of Ireland with Amlin which is now well established and proving a major success. The partnership has been expanded and a new range of products are now available.

Optis are an innovative product producer who use the internet to distribute "small ticket" commercial insurance products to their panel of retail brokers, in Ireland.

Using web technology, all policy quotations and cover are provided and bound in real time, along with the relevant documentation.  This system provides contract certainty in real time, which is a major attraction to underwriters, along with the considerable efficiencies involved in electronic trading.

Citynet worked closely with Amlin and Optis to bring this project to fruition.  "We are delighted at the close partnership which we developed with Optis in getting this project up and running in a short time frame" said Richard Scott a Director of Citynet.  "Optis are a start up company who have a vision of efficient product distribution which closely mirrors that of Citynet, and we are very optimistic for the long term future of this and other joint-ventures".

"We believe this is a text-book" example of the partnership approach we can bring to developing innovative arrangements with other brokers seeking access to the London market for their scheme as well as bespoke business", Richard added.

Citynet Results 2009

The Accounts for Citynet Insurance Brokers Limited to 28th February 2009 were signed by Mazars LLP in June and showed an increase of 14% in Turnover and a 250% increase in profit before tax. This was acheived by the hard work of our team and the quality of our products which contributed to a rise in net profit margin of 10%.

These results were extremely well received particularly in the soft market and in the face of some of the most turbulant times ever known in the financial sector, and we would like to thank our loyal supporters in these times.
